The Giving Tree Project is a service project led by the Next Gen Department and our SWERVE Ambassadors. It provides us with a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate. The concept is simple but incredibly impactful: on our Christmas tree, we will hang tags that represent specific items or gifts that individuals or families in our community are in need of during the holiday season.

Here’s how you can participate:

1. Visit the church from November 5, 2023, to December 3, 2023, when the Giving Tree will be on display.

2. Select a tag from the tree. Each tag will include a description of the item or gift needed and, in some cases, the age or gender of the recipient.

3. Purchase the specified item or gift, and please make sure it is new and unwrapped.

4. Return the item, along with the tag, to our Bessemer or Derby location before or after service by December 10, 2023.

This small act of kindness can have a significant impact on someone’s Christmas and fill their hearts with warmth and hope. It’s a beautiful way to embody the true spirit of the season and show that our church community cares deeply about those in our midst. We encourage you to involve your family, friends, and even your children in this heartwarming tradition.
